We've been asked repeatedly to supply a good quality Flip Flop, that is sturdy and strong enough to be worn several times but at as low a price as possible.

 

Well here it is, our own 'Blue Box GB' brand of Flip Flops. They've been made especially for us, to our own high quality specification. The Flip Flops have a thick 12mm sole, made from a stong PE Rubber, that is soft and comfortable to walk on. Holding the foot in place is a strong PVC strap.

 

We've chosen to have the Flip Flops produced in white, so they look clean and hygienic and will appeal to a variety of users.

The method for measurement of the slip resistance of shoes is described in EN 13287. The item of footwear to be tested is placed on a ceramic tile or steel floor, subjected to a given normal force, and moved horizontally relative to the surface.

Glycerine or sodium lauryl sulphate solution acts as contaminant on the surface. The frictional force is measured and the dynamic coefficient of friction is calculated. Depending on the test conditions, the friction coefficients must fulfil certain requirements given in EN 20345
